    Associations of Japanese teachers

    ATJ-Association of Teachers of Japanese
    The Association of Teachers of Japanese is an international, non-profit, non-political organization of scholars, teachers, and students of Japanese language, literature, and linguistics dedicated to teaching and scholarship and to the exchange of information among teachers and other professionals to help broaden and deepen knowledge and appreciation of Japan and its culture.

    The Japan Association for Language Teaching-JALT
    The Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the improvement of language teaching and learning both within Japan and internationally with nearly 3,000 members in chapters and affiliates across Japan as well as members abroad.

    Japanese Language Teachers Association of Victoria Inc(JLTAV)
    The Japanese Language Teachers' Association of Victoria Incorporated aims to promote the teaching and learning of Japanese in Victoria Australia, offer support to all teachers and students of Japanese on matters of concern, foster contact by teachers and students with speakers of Japanese in the local community and abroad, further the cause of languages through co-operation with similar bodies interstate and overseas, and with all monolingual language associations in Victoria via the Modern Language Teachers' Association of Victoria Inc.

    Washington Association of Japanese Teachers
    Founded in 1990, WATJ is an affiliate of NCJLT and WAFLT serving teachers of Japanese language in Washington State. WATJ is committed to promoting and improving the teaching of Japanese language and culture, as well as, to provide those teachers with a variety of opportunities for professional growth.

    AATJ (Alliance of Association of Teachers of Japanese)
    The Alliance will work to collect and disseminate information on Japanese language education; to disseminate information on best practices and assist in their implementation; to assist and support teachers of Japanese at all levels; to encourage the development of new programs of instruction in schools from K to 16 and the expansion of existing ones; to support the development of new ideas in instruction, learning, and instructional delivery; to create and strengthen links among people and programs in the field; and to raise the profile of Japanese language education (and foreign language education in general) in the US.

    NCJLT (National Council of Japanese Language Teachers)
    NCJLT is an organization dedicated to the promotion and development of Japanese language teaching at the elementary, secondary, and higher education levels across the United States. The mission of NCJLT is to support Japanese Language teachers and promote Japanese Language education. The vision of NCJLT is to foster the study of Japanese language and culture at the Pre-K-16 levels via supportive programs.
